JANE C. LOEFFLER is an architectural historian and artist. She holds a Master’s in City Planning degree from Harvard and a PhD in American Civilization from George Washington University; she is the author of The Architecture of Diplomacy: Building America’s Embassies (1998), revised and updated in a second edition (2011). Her distinguished career is documented on this site with a full list of publications (linked to files that can be downloaded), and an author’s essay explaining key publications. As an artist, she paints landscapes, flowers, and interiors that capture the beauty of nature and the special joy of the spaces we inhabit. Her art has been exhibited at prominent venues and scores of paintings, drawings and prints are also displayed on this site. Many are available for purchase.
